Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your billing portal at any time — no phone calls, no contracts. Your access continues through the end of the billing period, then stops. No refunds for partial months, but you keep access until the period ends.
Which regulators are monitored on each plan?
Solo covers SEC rules plus one state insurance board of your choice. Growing adds FINRA + NAIC + up to three state boards. Established expands to up to five state boards. Sources include official RSS feeds, press releases, and direct HTML scraping of regulator newsrooms.
How do alerts work?
RegAxis scores every new regulatory action for urgency (LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH / CRITICAL) based on affected entity types and change scope. You get email + in-app notifications for HIGH and CRITICAL changes. Growing and Established add Slack integration. Each action includes a plain-language summary and, where relevant, an auto-generated draft disclosure update.
Why do you publish prices when everyone else says 'contact us'?
Most compliance software vendors hide pricing because they negotiate per-firm. We think independent advisors deserve to know what they're signing up for before they talk to anyone. What you see here is what you pay — no sales call required. If your needs outgrow these plans, email us and we'll scope something custom.
What does SOC 2 compliance mean for my data?
SOC 2 Type II is an audited standard for security, availability, and confidentiality. RegAxis is actively completing the audit process. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We do not sell or share your regulatory data with third parties. A copy of our security posture is available on request for Enterprise customers.
Where does RegAxis pull its data from?
We monitor official public sources: SEC press releases (RSS), FINRA newsroom, NAIC newsroom, and each state's insurance department public feeds. We do not scrape data from paid legal databases or third-party aggregators. All data is current as of the last polling cycle — typically within 15 minutes of a public release.
What RegAxis looks like in practice

Three firms. Three sizes. Real patterns.

Composite scenarios drawn from the compliance patterns we see across our customer profile. Names and firms are fictional.

"Before RegAxis I was spending every Sunday scanning the SEC press release page. Now the only Sunday work I do is read the digest over coffee. I got roughly eight hours a week back."

"Two of us sat for the Series 65 in the same quarter. RegAxis's Q&A feed caught a Marketing Rule amendment the week before — we walked in cold on everything else and both passed first try."

Growing plan
"Our last SEC exam flagged two Marketing Rule items. After switching to Established, the auto-disclosure drafts and the FINRA notice feed meant we remediated inside the 30-day window with zero follow-up letters."
